Connecting Microsoft Outlook
Sign in with Outlook.com, Hotmail or Microsoft 365.
Steps
You sign in on your provider’s own page and approve access. We never see your password. Choose whether events flow in, out or both ways.
- Open Calendar, then Calendar Integrations from the settings menu
- Under Connect a Calendar, select Connect on Microsoft Outlook
- Sign in with your Microsoft account on Microsoft’s page
- Review the permissions requested and select Accept
- Back in your calendar settings, choose your sync direction
Good to know
- Both personal accounts (Outlook.com, Hotmail, Live) and work or school Microsoft 365 accounts can connect
What We Can and Cannot See
We can see:
- Events in the calendar you connect, so your appointments show in one place and bookings avoid times you are busy
- If you turn on outbound or two-way sync, we add the appointments, will milestones and video wishes you choose in your sync settings
We cannot see:
- Your password: you sign in on your provider’s own page
- Your email, contacts or files: we only ask for calendar access
How to Disconnect
- Open Calendar, then Calendar Integrations from the settings menu
- Select Disconnect on the connected calendar. We remove the events we added to it where the provider still allows, ask your provider to cancel our access, and delete the access we kept
- You can also remove our access from your provider’s own connected-apps or app-permissions page
Troubleshooting
- If Microsoft says you need administrator approval, your organisation controls which apps can reach work calendars. Ask your IT administrator to approve the app, or connect a personal account instead
