Practicing in England and Wales

Drafting, execution and records follow the region on each matter, for regulated and unregulated practices alike

Executed to the Wills Act 1837

Drafts carry a section 9 attestation clause: the testator signs before two witnesses present at the same time, who then sign.

Help preparing an LPA

Capture LPA instructions on the will's file. Registering with the Office of the Public Guardian is yours: we prepare, we do not register.

Region recorded, not assumed

Each client record carries its own jurisdiction, and Scotland and Northern Ireland are configured separately, so a cross-border client stays on one file.

The platform never names itself, or us, as executor or trustee in any will it generates. Who is appointed is your client's choice and yours alone.

Electronic execution of wills

Where the law does not currently permit a wholly electronic will, we do not offer an electronic execution route. We have built the capability, and it becomes available in a jurisdiction if the law there permits it. There is no waiting list and no product change to make. Our signing guide sets out what each jurisdiction requires today.
