In the early hours of Saturday, September 12, 2026, drones struck targets in Taganrog, Rostov region, and Tolyatti, Samara region. Russian authorities did not identify the facilities that were hit, but Astra and the Ukrainian open-source intelligence project Exilenova+ reported strikes on the Taganrog Automobile Plant grounds and a military airfield in Taganrog, and on the chemical enterprise KuibyshevAzot in Tolyatti. Taganrog mayor Svetlana Kambulova confirmed the attack, writing: “Last night our city came under a massive air attack. Air defense forces destroyed drones over the city.
