Tasweer opens Frame and Focus Exhibition telling stories of identity, memory and heritage

<p>Doha, Qatar: Tasweer Photography Festival yesterday opened the second edition of Frame and Focus at Al Hosh Gallery, presenting the final projects of 12 photographers who have completed Tasweer’s flagship Frame and Focus Advanced 14-week Photography Course.</p> <p>On view until October 5, the exhibition features documentary photography, portraiture, and conceptual image-making shaped by each participant’s cultural background and personal experience to present intimate perspectives on place, community, and contemporary life.</p> <p>Director of Tasweer, Khalifa Al Obaidly said: “Frame and Focus speaks to a wider ambition for photography in Qatar and the region: to give photographers the space, guidance and visibility to take their practice further and reach new audiences. Professional licensing applications open for teachers and school leaders

<p>Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has announced the opening of its electronic application system for professional licenses for teachers, coordinators and school leaders, with applications being accepted from September 3 to 10.</p> <p>Applicants can submit their requests through the dedicated Professional Licensing System available on the Ministry’s official website.</p> <p>The Ministry said the targeted categories include teachers, coordinators, kindergarten deputy principals for administrative affairs, deputy principals for academic affairs, deputy principals for administrative and student affairs, and school principals.</p> <p>The professional licensing system is considered a key pillar of the Ministry’s efforts to develop educational and school leadership personnel and promote a culture of professional excellence. It is based on clear standards designed to assess actual professional practices, as well as educational and professional competencies.</p> <p>According to the Ministry, professional licenses are awarded following a comprehensive and rigorous assessment of the real-world professional practices, educational competencies, capabilities and skills of employees in teaching and leadership positions.
