How Country Personalisation Works
Orchard72 personalises country selection dropdowns throughout the platform to help you quickly find the countries most relevant to you. This feature saves time by prioritising countries you interact with most frequently.
When you open any country dropdown, you'll see a "Most Relevant" section at the top containing countries specifically selected for you based on your profile and activity.
Personalisation Factors
Your Profile Data
Countries are prioritised based on your citizenships, residences, addresses, birth country, and will jurisdiction. This ensures the countries most important to your legal and personal situation appear first.
Your Activity Patterns
We track which countries you access our platform from (at a country level only, not specific locations) to understand your travel patterns and international presence. Recent access from a country increases its relevance score.
Smart Ranking
Countries are ranked by relevance with your explicitly provided data (citizenships, residences) given the highest priority, followed by inferred data from your activity. This ensures accuracy while providing helpful suggestions.
Privacy & Security
Your Privacy is Protected
We only track country-level access, never specific IP addresses or precise locations. Access records older than 6 months no longer count towards your country ordering, and we never share this information with third parties. The personalisation is unique to your account and enhances your experience while maintaining your privacy.
Country-Level Only
We only store the country you access from, not your city, region, or specific location. This provides useful personalisation while protecting your privacy.
Recent Activity Only
Access records older than 6 months are excluded from the calculation. Only recent activity influences how your countries are ordered.
No Third-Party Sharing
Your country access patterns are never shared with third parties and are used solely to improve your experience on Orchard72.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why don't I see "Most Relevant" countries?
The "Most Relevant" section appears once we have enough data about your profile or activity. New users may not see this section until they've added profile information or used the platform for a few days.
Can I disable this feature?
Country personalisation is designed to improve your experience and doesn’t collect any sensitive information. The feature works automatically based on your profile data and cannot be disabled, but it only enhances convenience without affecting functionality.
How often is the relevance updated?
Your relevant countries are updated in real-time as you update your profile or access the platform from different countries. The list refreshes automatically to always show the most relevant options.
Does this affect my will or legal documents?
No, this is purely a user interface convenience feature. It doesn’t affect any legal aspects of your will or documents - it simply helps you find countries faster in dropdowns.
