Adding portfolio members
Portfolio members represent people whose investments you oversee or want to track alongside your own. A “Myself” member is automatically created for you.
How to add a member
- Navigate to Portfolio → People & Sharing from the sidebar, then open the Family Members tab
- Click “Add Member”
- Enter their display name (e.g. “Dad”, “Sarah”)
- Optionally add a relationship label (e.g. “Father”, “Daughter”)
Member limits by plan
- Free: yourself only, no additional members
- Silver: up to 2 additional members (3 in total, including yourself)
- Gold: up to 5 additional members (6 in total, including yourself)
- Platinum: unlimited members
Customising members
Each member has a colour used in charts and consolidated views to help you quickly identify whose holdings are whose.
Consolidated view
The Family Members page shows a consolidated summary with total portfolio value per member, total holdings count, and colour-coded breakdowns. This gives you a quick overview of your entire family’s investment position.
Assigning transactions
When recording a new transaction, you can assign it to a specific portfolio member. This ensures the transaction and its associated tax lots are correctly attributed in consolidated views and tax reports.
Removing members
You can remove a portfolio member at any time, except for the “Myself” member which cannot be deleted. When you remove a member, their transactions and tax lots are retained for tax reporting accuracy but are no longer shown in consolidated views.
Comparing members
Compare the portfolios of two to four family members side by side. This feature is available on Silver plans and above.
How to compare
- Navigate to Portfolio → People & Sharing, then open the Family Members tab
- Click the “Compare” button in the header (visible when you have 2+ members)
- Select up to 4 members to compare using the chips at the top
- View total value, returns, holdings, top sector, and dividend income side by side
Member filter chips
On the Portfolio Overview page, you’ll see filter chips at the top when you have multiple portfolio members. Click a member’s name to filter the holdings view to show only that member’s investments. Click “All” to return to the consolidated view.
