Binance Bahrain Expands Fiat Access and Funding Options for Eligible Users

Binance Bahrain is expanding the ways eligible users can access and fund crypto services, introducing additional fiat funding options and a more streamlined onboarding experience through Binance Bahrain B.S.C. Licensed and regulated by the Central Bank of Bahrain as a Category 4 crypto-asset service provider, Binance Bahrain provides eligible users with access to supported cryptocurrency services and products. As part of the development, users can fund their Binance Bahrain accounts using supported local fiat currencies through available funding channels, including card payments and bank transfers. Eligible fiat channels also benefit from Binance’s zero-deposit-fee offering, providing users with additional flexibility when funding their accounts. Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council: The Gulf banking sector has maintained its solidity and stability despite the current circumstances

<p>Manama: Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, HE Jasem Mohamed Al-Budaiwi, confirmed that the banking sector in the GCC countries has maintained its strength and stability despite current conditions, supported by advanced regulatory and supervisory frameworks, as well as good levels of liquidity and capital adequacy. </p> <p>Al-Budaiwi explained during the 87th meeting of the GCC Central Bank Governors Committee in the Bahraini capital, Manama, today, that these capabilities have enhanced the banking sector's ability to keep up with all economic changes on one hand, and continue its role in supporting economic activity and financing development in the GCC countries on the other.</p> <p>He pointed to several indicators reflecting the strength of the banking sector and monetary stability in the GCC countries, foremost of which is that total deposits with commercial banks operating in the GCC rose by 6% by the end of last June compared to their level at the end of 2025, reaching about 2.45 trillion US dollars.</p> <p>Al-Budaiwi indicated that the total assets of commercial banks operating in the Gulf Cooperation Council reached more than $4 trillion by the end of last June, an increase of 3.9% compared to the end of the previous year.

CBB chairs 32nd meeting of GCC Capital Markets

Manama: As part of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s presidency of the 46th session of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), the Committee of Heads of Capital Market Authorities (or their equivalents) in the GCC, which operates under the Ministerial Committee of Chairpersons of Boards of Directors of Capital Market Regulatory Authorities, held its 32nd meeting via videoconference. The meeting was chaired by Noura Hassan Abdulghani, Executive Director of Supervision at the Central Bank of Bahrain, representing the Kingdom of Bahrain in its capacity as the presiding state, with the participation of Khalid bin Ali Al-Sunaidi, Assistant Secretary-General for Economic and Development Affairs at the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council, as well as representatives of the member states on the Committee. The meeting addressed several topics, foremost among them the follow-up on the implementation of initiatives referred to the GCC Capital Markets (Stock Exchanges) Committee, as well as updates on the completion by member states of their internal procedures to begin implementing the Cross-Border Registration Regulation for Investment Funds.
