Question 1

Is an online will really legally valid?

Accepted Answer

It depends on how it is signed and witnessed. A will drafted online may be legally valid where it meets the execution formalities that apply to you. Our drafts address the formal requirements of your jurisdiction, including language, structure and signing instructions. Proper witnessing is the critical step, and we guide you through it.

Question 2

How long does it really take?

Accepted Answer

The guided questions are designed to be finished in one sitting for straightforward situations, and you can save and return if you have complex assets or want time to think. The full process, including the professional review, varies and may take days or weeks depending on your circumstances and the professional you choose.

Question 3

What if I need to make changes later?

Accepted Answer

Life changes, and your will should too. You can update your will at a discounted renewal fee. Common updates include adding beneficiaries, changing executors or updating how your assets are shared.

Question 4

Do I need to print and store physical copies?

Accepted Answer

We store your will securely online, and you can download a copy for your records. Some jurisdictions require the original signed document, so keep it somewhere safe and tell your executors where it is.

Question 5

What assets can I include in my will?

Accepted Answer

Property, bank accounts, investments, vehicles, jewelry, cryptocurrency, business interests and personal belongings. The guided questions help you cover the assets that matter.

Question 6

Is my information secure?

Accepted Answer

All data is encrypted in transit, and your will content is encrypted in our database. Stored files sit on hardened object storage with server-side AES-256 encryption. Sharing is recorded: every share you grant, and every time someone you have shared with opens a document, appears in your audit log.
