Coming Soon and the Waitlist
Some parts of the product carry a Coming Soon badge and a Notify me button. This guide explains what joining that list registers, what it does not, and what happens when the feature is ready.
What Notify Me Registers
A Coming Soon badge marks something being built rather than something switched off for your account. Notify me beside it opens the Coming Soon page with that feature already selected, and registers your interest in it.
It is an interest register, not a queue
Joining the list records which feature matters to you so that build order can follow demand. It is not a position in a queue, it does not grant early access, and nothing about your account changes as a result. There is no waiting time to be told, and none is promised.
Choosing a Feature
The page lists the features currently being built, each with a sentence describing it. The list is held on the server and is the same on the website, on iOS and on Android, so it never falls out of step between them.
One at a time, on purpose
Only one feature can be chosen per visit, because the point of the list is to learn what matters most rather than to collect a wish list. Registering for one does not remove you from another: come back and choose a different feature and you are on both lists.
Nothing is chosen for you
Arriving from a Notify me button pre-selects the feature that button sat beside. Arriving any other way leaves the question unanswered, and Notify Me stays inactive until something has been picked, so an accidental press cannot register the wrong feature.
The On the List Tag
A feature you have already registered for carries an On the list tag, which appears as soon as the registration goes through rather than on the next visit.
- Pressing it again is harmless: a repeat registration is recognised as the same one rather than refused as a duplicate or counted twice
- The first press is the one that counts: the app you first joined from (the website, iOS or Android) is kept, so registering again from another app does not overwrite it
- A failed load is not a blocker: if the tags cannot be fetched the page still lets you join a list, it simply cannot show what you are already on
What Happens Next
Joining a list sends no email at the time, and it does not sign you up for a message when the feature ships: the list tells us what to build first, and it is not a mailing list.
There is nothing to check and no status to watch. The Coming Soon page shows which features you are on the list for, and that is the whole of it.
What Is Stored
Registering requires being signed in, and you are identified from that session. The form never asks for an email address, so there is nothing to confirm and no way for anyone to add an address that is not theirs.
What is kept is the feature, the app you joined from and when. If the account is later anonymised, these registrations are deleted with it rather than kept on.
