Charity Offices

Your offices are the physical addresses shown on your public charity profile. This is what the list holds and who can change it.

What the Offices List Is For

The offices page holds the places your charity actually operates from. They appear on your public charity profile, so a supporter or an adviser who wants to reach a real person in the right country can see where you are.

There is no limit on how many you add. A charity with one address adds one; a charity with a registered office, a head office and three regional branches adds all five.

Who can edit it

Editors, administrators and owners can add, edit and delete offices. Viewers see the list but are offered no controls, and the restriction is enforced by our servers rather than by hiding the buttons.

Treat every address as public

Offices are published on your charity profile. Use addresses, emails and telephone numbers you are happy for anyone to see, not a colleague's home address or a personal mobile number.

What Each Office Holds

Only the office name is required. Everything else is optional, so you can add an office now and fill in the rest when you have it.

Identifying the Office

  • Office name: how your own team refers to it, such as London Head Office. This is the only field the form requires
  • Office type: headquarters, branch or registered office. Leave it unset and it is recorded as a branch

The Address

  • Address line 1 and address line 2: building and street, then any suite or unit
  • Town or city and state, province or region
  • Postal code
  • Country: chosen from the country picker rather than typed, so it matches the country names used everywhere else on the platform and can be shown with its flag

Reaching the Office

  • Office email and office phone: the contact details for this particular location, which may differ from the public contact details on your profile

Active and Inactive Offices

Every office carries a yes or no answer to whether it is active, and the list shows the answer as an Active or Inactive badge beside the office name. A new office starts active.

Closing an office

If a location has closed, or has closed for a season, mark it inactive rather than deleting it. The record stays in your portal for your own reference and can be switched back to active without retyping the address.

Deleting an Office

Deleting asks you to confirm first, and then removes the office outright. There is no undo, so if you may want the address again, mark it inactive instead.

  • An office added in error is the case for deleting
  • An office that has closed is usually the case for marking inactive

Nothing here is your legal address of record

This list is descriptive content for your public profile. It is not how you tell a charity regulator that your registered office has moved, which stays a matter between your charity and its regulator.
